Summer is fast approaching and there will soon be lots of little ones on the water without properly-fitting life jackets. The Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program is now in its eighth successful year and we have a limited amount of life jackets available to donate to State Boating Offices. These jackets are available for you to loan out free of charge at state parks and aboard patrol boats. Interested in getting jackets for your state? From May 1 to June 30, 2005, BoatUS-store.com will contribute $1 to the Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program for Kids for each life jacket purchased at the online store. All life jackets are included—from inflatables for Mom and Dad to Barbie and Elmo jackets for the kids. Each $1 donation will help support the loaner program which allows families to borrow a kid’s life jacket for the day or weekend at over 366 locations in 49 states. As a national nonprofit, the BoatU.S. Foundation is primarily supported by donations.
