The 2005 Kids Sea Camp summer schedule is quickly approaching. These innovative week-long experiences provide an exceptional opportunity for young people ages 4-15 to join their parents in exceptional dive destinations and experience aquatic adventures that will last a lifetime.
According to Kids Sea Camp founder Margo Chornlesky, "Kids Sea Camp was created for parents with kids who want to dive during their vacation. We built programs designed for kids that allow their parents to do other things. I call it 'guilt-free' diving."
Now in its fifth year, Kids Sea Camp 2005 begins June 18-25 in Bonaire at the Plaza Resort. The program continues for four consecutive weeks in Curacao at Lions Dive Resort from June 25 through July 23 and concludes with two weeks in Grand Cayman at DiveTech Cobalt Coast from July 23 through August 6.

A mother of two active Kids Sea Camp participants herself, Chornelsky has seen the program grow from a single week in 2001 to seven weeks in 2005. Her son (Robbie) and daughter (Jennifer) have accompanied her to each week-long event. Both have brought home many unforgettable memories from their summers in the sea.
Robbie recalls a special opportunity where has was able to participate in a dolphin show in Curacao. "I worked with Annie and Copan (dolphins at Ocean Encounters) for a few days. I worked on the Rocket Ride with them, they came under me and lifted me out of the water almost 15 feet. When I landed, they gave me a ride in. My mom was crying because she was proud of me."
Parents spending time with their kids is a common theme and experience from Kids Sea Camp participants. "I like that I get to spend time with my mom," says Jennifer. "I like that we get to see her every day because she works all the time. This year, I'll be able to dive along with my mom. Since I will be in the Seal Team I can go diving with her."
